About Us

Mariposa House Hospice (MHH) is a 5 bed, residence hospice serving the community members of the greater Orillia area, located in Severn on Brodie Drive behind Orillia Square Mall. Our vision: ''Honouring every moment of life'' Our mission: ''Providing quality end-of-life palliative care with compassion, dignity and respect in a peaceful homelike setting''

MHH is partially funded through the Ministry of Health, approximately 40% of our annual cost that goes towards clinical care. The rest of our annual operational funds, approximately $800,000/year is fundraised in order to provide wrap around care and 24 hour services to our residents and their families at no cost.

Each resident room is equipped with a murphy bed for family members to stay or just rest next to their loved one, a mini fridge, microwave, tv, cable, free WIFI, private deck, comfortable chairs and 2 piece washroom to make the stay as comfortable and home-like as possible.

Your involvement in our Annual Signature Fundraising events is welcomed. Join us for Hike 4 Hospice, in partnership with Hospice Orillia each Spring, our Annual Golf Tournament and Angel Tree fundraiser at Mariposa Market each Holiday season.
