Ride for Refuge 2026

Description

On Saturday, October 3, come walk or ride your bike in the 3rd annual RIDE FOR REFUGE to raise funds for victims of intimate violence in North Simcoe. Organized locally by North Simcoe Victim Services, money raised will stay in the community and support emergency services in our area. 

It will be held at 10 am at the OPP Headquarters, 777 Memorial Avenue, with a special opening ceremony at 10:35 am. 

Ride for Refuge is free, but participants are encouraged to raise funds and become advocates against intimate partner violence. 

Featuring:

• Marshalled, marked walking routes: 2.5 km or 5 km
• Supervised, marked bicycle routes: 5 km, 10 km, or 20 km 
• Rest stops and refreshments along bike routes
• Refreshments prior to the ride/walk
• Complimentary lunch by Chick-fil-A for all registered participants and volunteers
• A family games area, face painting, and photo booth
• Free t-shirt for everyone who raises at least $150 

Can't join the ride? There's other ways to give your support! Consider signing up to volunteer at the event, sponsoring a loved one, or going to Harvey's. That's right — from Friday, September 26 to Saturday, October 24, every $2 from the "Ride for Refuge Combo" at Harvey's Orillia will go towards fundraising!
